Time - 2023 - 2025

VOYAGES explores the theme of travel, capturing its essence in each handmade ceramic vase. Through carefully crafted texts inscribed on their surfaces, these vases reflect on the different ways we journey — not only across physical landscapes but also through time, memories, and experiences. Some speak to the excitement of new discoveries, while others evoke the quiet, internal travels we take when we revisit cherished moments from the past. RememberUs - 2022/2025
The series RememberUs of decorative vases finds its origin in the following postulate pronounced a long time ago by my ceramic teacher in San Francisco :
“A ceramic can break in the blink of an eye, yet it can also last for millennia.”
With all the recent events in the world, this sentence, which had been in my head for years, came out with a clear meaning: create ceramics to witness our civilization, our culture and celebrate them. When I wonder what should be remembered a 1000 years from now, music comes directly to my mind as it is key to awake emotions and make us feel alive. Literature, philosophy, poetry, texts about human rights can also truly reflect who we are.
